Неработающий Ethernet на Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe
К, сожалению, почти перестал писать сюда — с последнего сообщения в блоге прошло уже много времени. Причины разные, тут и нехватка времени, и желание перезапустить сайт (этот кошмарен как дизайном, так и кодом). Поэтому так получается, что всё находится в подвешенном состоянии. Надеюсь, в скором времени смогу заняться сайтом.
Ну да ладно, пост не об этом :-) Достался мне компьютер с материнкой Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe и плохо работающим жёстким диском. Поменял винт, переустановил ОС. И тут обнаружилось, что Windows 7 ни в какую не хочет видеть сеть — драйвера устанавливаются, но на вставленный кабель никакой реакции. И, в Ubuntu, кстати, то же самое. В интернете (в том числе англоязычном) на эту тему нет ничего, кроме сообщений таких же счастливчиков :-)
А решение оказалось простым — нужно обновить BIOS (ищите его на страничке поддержки материнки в разделе с драйверами). Правда, выяснилось, что всё не так просто. Есть три способа это сделать: прошить под WIndows, под DOS и через утилиту EZ Flash в самом биосе. Последний способ не подошёл, т. к. биос был очень старый и на сайте поддержки было запрещено его так обновлять. DOS не запустился (каюсь, разбираться было лень). А программа для Windows ближе к концу прошивки указала на ошибку, и компьютер при следующем включении, само собой, не загрузился. Но после очистки CMOS выяснилось, что биос всё же прошился. Сеть заработала.
