Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey

Расскажу немного о предыдущих играх серии:
Первая игра, The Longest Journey, вышла в 1999 и была типичным квестом с point-and-click управлением. Сюжет рассказывает про девушку по имени Эйприл, которая путешествует между нашим миром (2209 год) и волшебным:
На современных компьютерах идёт неплохо, но только в разрешении 640x480. Поменять нельзя, можно лишь включить оконный режим (правда, на мой взгляд, работает он коряво). Для этого находим в папке игры файл preferences.ini и меняем значение bool_StartFullscreen на ноль. Если графика притормаживает или мерцает, то попробуйте настроить значения:
bool_UseHardware=1 bool_ForceSingleBuffer=0
Игра очень длинная и интересная, даже если не любите квесты (я сам не особый их фанат), попробуйте.
Вторая часть вышла в 2006, называется Dreamfall: The Longest Journey и рассказывает о событиях десять лет спустя. Главная героиню зовут Зои:
Это уже не совсем квест: управление идёт от третьего лица, головоломки стали проще, добавились простенькие сражения. Но сюжет по-прежнему очень интересный. Концовка, правда, не очень — осталось очень много загадок, которые должны были раскрыть в продолжении.
Продолжение, то есть Dreamfall Chapters, сначала хотели выпускать по главам (по аналогии с эпизодами Half-Life 2), но потом что-то случилось и разработку заморозили. Теперь никаких раздельных эпизодов не будет, но название осталось всё то же (по словам автора, “the title will make a lot of sense when you play the game”). Главная героиня по-прежнему Зои и, судя по скриншотам, она где-то успела сделать пирсинг =)
Очень надеюсь, что игра выйдет достойная — игры с хорошим сюжетом (а уж тем более квесты) сейчас очень большая редкость.
